So I know, I havent been very active on my blog in the last ummm 4 months... But Im going to try to start keeping up to date again.. Ill have an up date post to follow.
Last month I began looking into Project Life.. What is Project Life you may be wondering... It is another form of scrapbooking.. An "easier" way.. There are many different style page protectors that are divided into smaller pockets.. Project Life is also brand name by Becky Higgins, but there are many other Pocket Page brands out there.. Anyways. So I was thinking it would be a great way to get my wedding pictures scrapped.. (Finally, you know almost 5 years later) So while getting my pictures together for the wedding, I decided to also include our anniversaries and the bridal shower.
Here are the first pages I have got done.. I have to stay I really like how fast this process is compared to doing a full 12x12 page (thats the point). I am still doing my 12x12 traditional scrapbook pages. My style for Project Life is VERY similar to my 12x12s, VERY simple.. Pretty plain.
Here goes:
Coming along pretty nice. I still have a few wedding pages to finish but needed a break from that. I may also go back and mat all the photos because they arnt all the same size and you can see some edges on the back sides..
I used papers from Hobby Lobby and the Recollections Paddy Wack pack from Michaels.
I used some cards from the Me & My Big Ideas Pocket Pages theme cards.
Stickers are by The Paper Studio "Bubbly a bilities", Me & My Big Ideas "Pocket Page Clear Stickers", Jolee "Bling" & The Paper Studio "Stick a bilities",
Recollections Washi Tape
Recollections "Glitter On A Roll" tape
Recollections "Adhesive Glitter Shapes"
Something very upsetting happened.. I have a Cricut and the Cricut Craft Room on my computer. I had made templates on CCR to make the cards the right size so all I had to do was hook up everything and click cut and bam, perfect size cards for my pockets. Well after using it all day I ran into a problem that required me to update the firmware.. did it and it worked fine... I left the cricut hooked up to my computer that night but turned everything off.. Next morning go to use it and CCR says it cannot find my machine.. Well it appears that none of my USB ports are working on my computer.. It doesnt recognize my phone or camera being plugged in either.. I have no clue what happened.. And just over night.. Ive tried to fix it but it hasnt worked.. Sooooo upset over that.. So now Ive been cutting my own cards, which isnt to bad.. Been working out so far..
Thanks for stopping by!
