February Goals

Cannot believe January is almost over. Although it also seems like its been a very long month. Probably with Logan being gone and so much driving to and from the valley.

January went pretty well. So far I have done 10 miles. Thats pretty big for me. I'd like to do at least 3-4 more miles before the 1st. I didnt hit my goal of losing 6.5 lbs, but did lose 3 lbs. I had one pair of size 18 jeans fit better, but still not to my size 17s yet.  I know where I messed up and where I need to improve.

On one of my fitness groups (MLFC) there is a term they use, its "ONEderland". I have to admit, I had to ask what it ment. Its when you get down to the 100's, your in ONEderland. LOL So that helped me to set my first Feburary goal.

This morning I weighed in at 207 (Why do I always weigh a little less on Tuesday then Monday when I am supposed to weigh in?) So my first goal for February is to get to ONEderland by Feb 14th. That gives me just over 2 weeks and I think, if I push hard enough, I will be able to do it!

My 2nd goal is to do more miles. I would really like to do 20+ miles. To say I want to do it every day, is so wrong. lol I do want to be more accountable and do it most days, but not all.

My 3rd goal is to eat more veggies. I am wanting to start roasting/baking more veggies and try new things. I need to find some good recipes.

Number 4 is to drink more water. Most days I do good and drink about 60 oz of water. Then there are the days I dont drink even 15 oz. So I need to work on that.

For now those are my 4 top goals. No wardrobe goals. We dont have anything big planned, so no outfits to fit into. I would however, like to still keep the size 17 jeans as a goal, but Im just not focusing on that right now.

 So here is to ONEderland!

Biggest Loser Week 4

TheJavaMama

I am back down to 208.6. So from last week I lost 3 lbs.
Start weight- 210
Current weight- 208.6
This week loss- 3 lbs
Total loss- 3 lbs

Man, Im not doing so great. I mean 3 lbs loss in 1 week is great, but over all, this is week 4 and all I can say I lost is 3 lbs. I really need to start pushing it in February.

My eating hasnt been to horrible. Though I do have my days. This last weekend my friend came up with her 2 kids. She brought Papa Murphy's pizza with her. She sliced the pizza into really small slices and I ate 4 of them. I'd say it equaled to 2 regular sized slices. (Am I justifying eating so much? yeah, sounds like it)  But she also brought the cinnamon wheel. I ate 2 slices of the at dinner, then 2 more slices are few hours later. Then after she left the next day, I finished off the 4 remaining pieces. Boo! Oh and they were all smeared with cream cheese spread. Double Boo!

I really need to research clean eating. We dont eat horrible but I know there is room for improvement.
I would like to eat more roasted veggies. Im not a big veggie fan. I dont mind raw carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms. I like cooked potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. Im just not a big fan. However,  last Monday I stopped at my MIL's house to get my kids. She and my SIL were making veggie tacos. I didnt think I'd like them but would give it a try. They sliced up red and yellow bell peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, and Anaheim chili and then baked them in the oven. My MIL used corn tortillas and pam, lightly sprayed them and lightly cooked them in a skillet. Just enough to give them a little crunch. Then we used some kind of Greek Yogurt spread, it was Chipotle flavored. Now there were so many things about this meal that I thought I wouldnt like.... I did pick out the Anaheim chili, but the rest was actually really good! MIL also had some other kind of Greek Yogurt dip and we were eating it with pita chips. Also really good. So, I just need to go out of my normal boundaries and try new things.

And before I forget again....
Yeah, I didnt do so well last week. Monday I was in Prescott for a Doc appt, though I could have done my mile that night.... Wednesday I didnt have wrote down but I looked at my DailyMile and I did do my mile at 23.48. I thought I did it on Thursday but dont have the record on DialyMile that I did, so maybe I didnt. My friend came over that day and stayed till Friday. We went to Prescott that day, but again I could have dont the run after I got home.... Saturday, I was in Phoenix picking Logan up at the Airport. Im sure I could have found time after we got home, but didnt... I am going to do my best to finish out this month strong!

I would REALLY like to be able to do a 5k (3.1 miles) On last weeks Biggest Loser the teams had to run one and even though they have been working out more then I have been the past 3 weeks, they havent trained for a 5k but they still pushed through and did it. Im going to try and cover up my elliptical screen and no pay attention to time or distance and just keep going and see how far I get. Though I admit, I dont run the whole thing. My usual pace is from 60-70 rpm. I know I need to get faster as well as going a loner distance. All in good time.

Well thats how Im doing. Hope everyone who is on this Biggest Loser journey (whether on the link up, or not) is doing well!

Something I forgot

So this evening when I finally forced my ass onto the elliptical, I realized I forgot to post my monthly calendar. So here it is, last weeks progress.

Yeah, you see that correctly. I missed 3 days. :( I give my self one day to rest, but the next one was just pure laziness. Saturday we left early for our weekend getaway.

I be lieing if I said I started this week off any better, but I am going to push to do my best to have a better rest of the week.

Biggest Loser Week 3 & Birthday

TheJavaMama

Wow, is it really week 3 of the Biggest Loser Link-up? Well, lets just get this out of the way already. I am at 211.whatever....  Yeah, thats a gain. But I was careless this weekend and take all responsibility for it.

Current weight- 211
Total Loss- loss 1 + 2 :(

This next week will be better. Ill work harder and eat better!

Today is my Birthday. I am a big 28. Am I supposed to be freaking out that 30 is around the corner? Cause if so, Im not. In fact just the other day I was thinking to my self, I cannot wait to be a hot 30 something awesome Mom, with great style and fun to be with. Hopefully I can be that mom in my 30s! :)

Anyways, this weekend Logan and I went to PHX for Saturday and stayed the night at a hotel. We went to the "Castle" an adult store. They should really have a way to test things before you buy them, just saying. After that stop we went to Walmart for some batteries (wink wink) and then back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We had time to kill before dinner so we stopped at the hotel bar and had a couple of drinks. I had 2 Amaretto Sours. I love those! Then we left for dinner. We ate at The Melting Pot! Ever been to one? If not, you need to put it on your bucket list! The place is a little pricey! But so worth it. For those who havent been, its a fondue style restaurant. We chose to do a 4 course meal and it never looks like a lot of food at the time, but dang, it sure is filling! We started with cheese and got a Wisconsin Trio. It had Sherri in it so it was VERY tart. We should have stuck with the Chedder. With the cheese you get bread pieces, green apples, and veggies to dip. Next is salads. They were both very good. Next was the main course and we got to pick our own. Mine came with chicken, pork, beef and shrimp. Logans was the same but a smaller portion. You cook them in a boullion and it came with veggies also. Sooo good! Last was of course desert! We chose the Flaming Turtle Chocolate which was milk chocolate, caramel and nuts and the set it on fire. It came with all kinds of yummy stuff to dip in chocolate! The best part!  We had a few more drinks then at dinner. Afterwards we went back to the hotel and had a couple  more drinks, then went to our room for the night.
This week Logan will be gone till Saturday in Knoxville. I am going to try to eat better and workout everyday.

So here's to another year and more weight to lose! :)

Biggest Loser- Week 2

Well, I thought I was going to have to be all mopey and sad when doing this post. However, this morning, because I sleep like crap and Blaine woke up (again!) for a bottle, I forced my self up, got dressed and did my mile. I weighed first and it was 210 :( (womp) So I did my "mile." In quotes because I pushed a button and it messed my screen up. But the last I checked I was at .60 of a mile and around 15 minutes. So I just went ahead and did another 5 minutes, since Ive been finishing around 22 minutes.

I finished and went and layed on the floor of my bedroom. I pondered sleep or shower. I made my self get up and get my weights. I did my AB work out, twice! and some crunches...and...and 2 20 second planks (not at the same time) Holy moly, those are CRAZY shit!

I stripped down to get into the shower, got the water started and though, "maybe Ill weight again" and it said 209.whatever!!! Yeey! So Im happy again! I was really getting discouraged and frustrated with working out and the numbers werent changing. Which also brings me to...Im not getting on the scale everyday anymore. Causes to much mental damage. Also, I think I need to probably keep track of my .somethings because any loss is a good loss, even if it is only a point something. :)

 So my new stats are:

CW- 209
Loss- 1 lb

Yeey! Hope everyone else did well this first week of the Biggest Loser Link-up!

And for a little accountability:
Anyone who really knows me, know this is awesome work for me. I really would like to be able to push though and do better time and maybe do a further distance. Keep pushing! :)

Good luck on Week 2 everyone!

Goals... Goals... Goals

I really need to get my goals organized! Last year when I had originally started working out and set my end goal as 165 lbs, I had wanted to reach that by August 2013.  Here it is January 2013 and I havent really lost anything from that original start date and it is now 7 months until my original end date. Can I lose 45 lbs in 7 months? Hell yeah I can. I just need to get focused and force myself to do this shit!

I was talking with someone one day and they said they wanted to lose the baby weight and that got me thinking. I have 45 lbs to lose. I've had 3 children. Divide 45 by 3 and thats 15. Fifteen pounds per child, per pregnancy. Breaking it down into 15 lbs makes it sound so much better.  If I break it down to 45 lbs in 7 months, thats 6.5 lbs a month. REALLY? Only 6.5 lbs a month? That is so do able! I just have to do it!

January- 6.5
February- 6.5
March- 6.5
April- 6.5
May- 6.5
June- 6.5
July- 6.5
August- 6.5

EQUALS= 45.5 lbs!

My half way mark is in May. I really dont have a half way reward picked out yet. Maybe a new swim suit since May is out Anniv (4 yrs!) and we usually do something fun. I'd love to rock a new suit. (For sure dont want to have to wear the swim dresses I have and have worn through 2 pregnancy, yuck!)

I have something in mind to do after I hit my end goal, however I wont be doing it till like November. It will be a Christmas present for Logan. So of course, Im not going into details about it here. No, honey, Im not going to learn to lap dance. Least not yet ;)

Damn, so guess my monthly goal is 6.5 lbs. Not sure if Ill actually be able to knock out 6 lbs this month since its already the 11th, but Ill try. Try my damnedest.

What is your monthly goal? Do you find its easy to reach or do you struggle?

No more MAP posts & Pitty Party for 1

Wow, that lasted all of 2 posts.. Surprise surprise,  I stop something in the middle. My choice to stop doing the My Accountability Posts is because I find it hard to sit down and post everyday. And Im sure a few of you are tired of reading the same post of me doing a mile in around 25 mins and doing the ab work out, bluh bluh bluh. Its repetitive to say the least.

So now my new accountabilities is my miles ticker on the side of my blog. I will update that everyday after Im done. I really cannot wait to see how many miles I do this year. Hypothetically a mile a day for a year would be 360 miles. WOW! That would be amazing for me! However, I dont think Ill make that. I missed the first couple days of January and I missed  yesterday. I know there will be days I cannot do my mile or days I need a break, but Im going to push through. Also, I hope someday to be able to do more then 1 mile at a time.

Also, another thing to keep me on track is my calendar posted by my elliptical. When I'm done with my mile, I write down the time. I missed yesterday because  I was having a pitty party. When I looked at my calender today at that blank spot, it made me want to push harder. I ended up drawing a sad face on yesterday. On the Java Mama's Biggest Loser Link-Up Monday Weigh-ins  I will include a picture of my calender and my work completed.

On the topic of weighing in...... I've been a scale whore. Jumping on that biotch every day for almost 2 weeks. Which brings me to why I was down yesterday. Last week I checked my weight every day. I fluctuated between 210 and 207 every day. I was happy because it was a loss, even if by Friday I was 210 again. I wasnt working out or anything that week. Starting this week, Monday, I have sat at 210 (point bluh bluh bluh) every day and I hate it! I am seeing no changes. Im drinking more water, pushing through a mile a day and most days doing some kind of other work out and the numbers stay the same. As Im typing this now I'm fighting back the tears. I know you shouldnt weigh every day. How many times have I said this before? A few times at least. I know its going to take time. I know my muscles retain water to start with and that once I do start building muscle the numbers wont change as much. Bluh bluh bluh!

ALRGHT! Pitty Party, cry baby bull crap over! I am no giving up. I will not let these feelings of failure (after only a week HA!) stop me from reaching my goal. I know it doesnt happen over night. I know it takes time. I just have to keep reminding my self. In no time at all, the lbs will be dropping and Ill be able to see the difference.  Back tot he scale, I will from this day on, only weigh my self on Monday. No more scale hoping. That biotch is going to sit quietly in the corner and wait for me on Mondays.

I finally found my weighs (2 lbs each HA!) so I will start Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. Am I ready for the intense pain Ill be in after Im done? Am I ready to not be able to sit down on the toilet to pee? Am I ready to kneel down and do reverse cowgirl (Bawhahaha!) in pain? No, no I am not ready for the pain that is coming my way. I am however ready for the change and sometimes change takes pain to make it through.

Thanks for listening to my rambling. I cant wait till Monday to see how everyone in the Biggest Loser challenge did this first week. Good luck!

My Workout Area

Here is my main workout area. My Elliptical.

On the screen I have my tablet. I watch You Tube videos on it while I do my mile. Helps me to push though and keep going.
On the wall I put a calendar up. I write down my completed time when I read my mile. Keeps me accountable and I can see how I do in time.
I would like to eventually be able to do more then just a mile at a time. Maybe that will be my February goal. :)
When I do other exercises I do them either beside my bed or in the living room if its a video workout.

What does your workout area look like?

A while back I posted about the Family Binder. Well it isnt really working out very well. I never look at it and it just lays there taking up room. So I finally got my calendar put up along with my dry erase board/cork board. Its the start to a "Command Center." Its on the wall and hard to miss.

I printed out a list of our bills and broke it down for each month what days are paydays and what bills will get payed from each payday. When I pay them, I mark them off. Hopefully that will help me to stop double paying people. Yes, I am guilty of double paying people like the internet company and APS.
I included a little to-do list for my self.

Does your family have a command center?

Christmas Blankets & More

Sorry for all the fitness posts lately. I know there have been a lot. If it keeps me motivated well thats what Im going to do. This post though is about other stuff.

So much for budgeting this last payday. :( I thought I saved money and did well. Then Sunday Logan says, Lets go see a movie. Movies are expensive but Ill never pass up a date night with my husband and a chance to get away together without the kids for a few hours. THEN after the movie we had to stop at walmart. Dun-dun-dunnnnn. Two boxes of diapers, dog food, dog bones, things for the flag pole, oil and a filter.... It all added up fast. THEN yesterday Logan hauled out propane tank to Prescott to fill it. No it wasnt a grill tank it was our big one we use for the house.... $245 later. Yes, that is about half the cost it would have been if we had let the local company to fill it but damn, now we are under $800 in our account. Its just so aggravating. So now we have 2 weeks to go before payday. In those 2 weeks I have to make an appointment for Garrett's 3 yr check, Blaine's 15 month check and my Depo appointment. On top of that I have a bill at my OB-Gyn's office of probably close if not over $100 that I had planned to pay... Not this time but I cant miss this appointment and avoid the bill.

Ok, moving on. Can only beat that dead budget so much. Next payday is a new day and a new chance to try harder to save money.

In one of my Christmas posts (#3 I think) I said that the kids got blankets from my Mom and that I would make a post of them. Well here they all are.

Ellie's is the beautiful butterfly fabric that actually has "glitter" on it and all the pretty pastel colors together. Its my favorite of course, because of the butterflies.

Garrett's is so neat!! Love the denim and then the middles are cars material. It is such a heavy blanket too! Great for Winter time here.

Little Monkeys for my little Monkey Blaine. The blanket is made of flannel, so its very soft. The panels on the blanket is a little story of the monkeys jumping on the bed. Well, some reason I cannot find Blaine's blanket to take a picture. I have NO clue where it is at. Weird! But when I find it, Ill take a picture and post it.

My Mom also made Ellie & Blaine shirts to match. Ellie's shirt has a butterfly on it and Blaine's has a monkey. She bought Garrett a set of Cars jammies.

I love all the handmade goods my Mom makes my kids. Oooh! Speaking of handmade goods for my kids, she also made Logan an apron.

So since we have been in our new house Ive had to move all the under the counter stuff in my bathroom and  the kitchen. Why?
This little monster likes to play under there.

Alright, I didnt want to include weight loss in every post but I have to say this. When Im not really trying I go between 210 and 207 every other day. Now that I've been on the elliptical and drinking lots of water, I've been sitting at 210 for 3 days. I'm not building that much muscle already. I know I am still eating to much at dinner but only a few hours later in bed my belly is growling at me.

I'm hoping to start the 30 Day Shred today. It will be tricky though with the kids. Im going to put Blaine down for his nap, make Ellie play in her room and Garrett in the playroom. HOPEFULLY!

Well hope everyone has a great Hump Day!

My Weight gain/loss story & more thoughts

Ok, here's my history of my weight. I typed up this long drawn out thing but lets get to the point. I never was the skinny girl. I was never the "fat" girl. I was the tall "big-boned" girl. I wasnt every active, hated to run. I was always 155 so as long as I could remember.

After H.S. I did alright maintaining my weight until I started eating pretty much only vending machine junk for lunch every day and then started drinking beer was to much!

When I got pregnant with Ellie, I was about 180+ and delivered at 240+. I dropped back down but never below 200. With the following two pregnancies I delivered both at 240+ and again dropped back down to 210+. Today, Blaine is 15 months old and I sit at 210.

I am tired of packing around the fit tire around my middle. I can look in the mirror and say I look good for having 3 children but in truth I feel completely different. I want to be back in shape. I want to be able to fix my hair and do my makeup without my belly resting on the counter top.

I chose my goal of 165 because its ten lbs above what I was through out high school. I have no idea what I will look like at 165. I know I wont be what I was in H.S. (This is where a lot of people say "you now have wider hips, bluh bluh bluh. I've always had wide set hips. A guy once grabbed me by the hips and told me I had child baring hips. ) I just want a flatter belly!

I just thought of a new way to think of it. I have 45 lbs I want to lose. That is 15 lbs per kid. I am so going to start thinking of it like that. After I lose the first 15 lbs Ill say "I have lost the weight gained from having Ellie. " After the next 15 lbs I say the same but for having Garrett and then for Blaine. Brilliant! What motivation!

You know what else is great motivation? Getting supportive comments. A simple you can do it will go a long way. A simple kick ass girl, goes a long ways. I plan to give everyone involved in the Biggest Loser Link-up as much support as I can. Just remember, a simple comment goes a long ways in helping motivate and encourage people!!

We got this!

MAP #2

Just finished another mile on the elliptical in 24.53 miles. That is fast then yesterday! Woot!! Getting ready to do my abs workout and then printing a calender for my completed workouts. Ill make a post about that later. :)

Good luck to everyone who is trying to better them selves this year!!

Biggest Loser!

I am totally joining in on this Biggest Loser Link Up! What better Motivation and Accountability!!! You can find the Biggest Loser main page here -----> The Java Mama

If you have been following me lately, a lot of this will be repeated (and probably will be over and over and over again until it finally happens!)

My start weight is- 210

My goal weight is- 165

My work out plan- Still the same. lol But for those who are new here, I start out with a warm up on the Elliptical, then do the work out in the Bikini Fit in 4 weeks book (I am on week 1 still), as well as the abs work out here. I hope to work up to adding more time on the Elliptical and maybe other work outs for the other muscle groups.

Meal Plan-  So as far as eating goes, Im mainly trying to do portion control. I've tried counting calories, but unless I am eating processed/premade  foods, I cant figure out the calories. Im staying away from soda as much as possible (did have one today) and drinking more water. Today I bought a new water bottle. It's a 30 oz bottle and the mouth of it is big enough to put ice in! This should help me drink more water (I hate drinking room temp water)

Time to kick some ass! And by that I mean my ass!! And my pouch! Good luck to everyone else who is linking up!!

MAP #2

 MAP= My Accountability Post.

Ya'll are going to get tired of my daily updates! But I am loving that this is keeping me on track!

Today I did 25.25 minutes on the Elliptical which equaled out to 1 mile. I dont remember what percent of the mile I did yesterday but I stopped at 20 minutes and was under a mile. Today, I said screw the time, push it out to a mile! And I did!  :)

Totally loving watching youtube while on the Elliptical. It keeps me going.

I am also on my 2nd 30 oz bottle of water. Actually the 2nd bottle has Great Value Energy Blueberry Acai flavor packets in it. But none the less, Im working on 60 oz of water.

I think I am going to brave Jillian (Bitch) Michael's 30 Day Shred again. As I've said a hundred times I've been doing the 15 minute ab work out but I know I need an all over body work out too. (I need to find my dumb bells) The 30 DS is intense and makes you want to kick JM's bitch ass but its a good work out (If only I can make it passed day 3) LOL! I think I may start it tomorrow. Need to figure out when the best time will be.

Oh and  I woke up this morning at 209 lbs. I need to really focus on portion control tonight since tomorrow is day 1 of the Java Mama's Biggest Loser Link-up! I am so motivated to kick this fat fluff in the ass!  Please join me in keeping me going!! Give me supportive comments and a link to your blog and Ill check you out and support you on our journey!

My Accountablitly post!

I think Im going to download the Blogger app so that I can update after my work outs.

Today, I finally made myself get up. I got on the elliptical and did 20 minutes (well actually 21.whatever) I figured out what works to keep me going!! Wanna know my secret? I put my tablet on the screen of my elliptical, hooked up my earbubs and went to you tube. I watched videos of scrapbook pages. That is what helped me push through, helped me not feel tired, helped me to ignore my leg pain, to push on!

Then I did two sets of the 15 minute abs. It says to do 3 or 4 sets of each. Before I was only doing one set of each, so doing 2 sets is great. Ill work up to 3 or 4.

After my workout I made something very yummy to eat! It was cherry yogurt, half a large banana sliced up and a handful of vanilla almond granola. Mixed it all up and YUMMO!

I am also working on my water in take! (30 oz)

Monday, I am joining a Biggest Loser Link-up!  Im excited!!

Well Crap.

 New Years Goals- 1 fail.

Boo!! So I've been trying to be better about yelling. Really I have and can say I am doing better... Then, I lose it. Today the kids just kept pushing me and kept pushing me. Yes, I was being a lazy mom (boo to me again). They were asking to eat... No, they had food and were supposed to be sitting down but they both kept getting up and running around and then sit down again. I kept telling them to sit down, sit down, sit down. The final straw was when they ran away and came back and Garrett said he had dog poop on his foot. He tracked it all over the carpet. I yelled at them to sit down and spanked Garrett on his way. (Boo and Hiss to be again!!) I was just so tired from telling them to stop, sit down and then dog poop all over. Damn it! After I got it all cleaned up, I picked Garrett up and held him and explained to him why he got a spanking. I then asked if he knew why and he said no, so I explained it again and he said he understood that time. I hate when my patience level is pushed above and beyond. Just makes me so mad...at my self.

Tomorrow is a new day. I just need to work harder from now on.

Tomorrow is also the first day that I am really going to put our budget into action. AKA The day Im going to fight all urges to buy unnecessary items. Not even going to Walmart (sept maybe fore lunch at Subway, but not sure if I can fight the urge to go shopping. So maybe Ill nix the Walmart Subway and find a different one to go to) I do want to go to Ross. I havent been to Ross in sooooo long! Plus since Logan and I are going to PHX for the night here pretty soon, I want to see if I can find something to wear for the night we go out to eat. Chances of actually finding something are usually slim, so Im not holding my breath. Wish we had a Burlington Coat Factory Outlet here. Anywhooo. Tomorrow I plan to only go to Ross, Subway for lunch and Frys for grocery shopping.  Ill post on how that goes!

Oh, one more thing. So I decided to weigh in every day. I know they say you shouldnt weigh that much, but I kinda like seeing whether the numbers have gone up or down. I am using an app on my phone, something like Easy Weight Recorder, or something like that, and enter my weight each day. Me like!

_________________________________________________________

Update- So I didnt get this post published by this morning (Friday morning) so Ill update on everything. I did alright on my budgeting. Ellie, Blaine & I went to Subway when we first got to town. Its nice, Ellie likes everything I like on my sub. So I buy one foot long and we split it. (she usually only eats about 3 inches) Next we went to Ross. I didnt have much luck. Only found 2 shirts to try on. One was a dark purple, with stones around the neck line. I really liked it. Soft and comfy, but it wasnt anything out of the ordinary that I dont already wear. The next one is a black tanktop, with layers on the front, lacy and frilly. I really liked how that one looked on me, though a little tight. Looked really good with how my hair was curled. So I decided to get the tank top. (only $9.99)

I decided against my will, to go to Walmart. I just wanted to see if I could find something to go with the shirt. So I grabbed 3 pairs of jeans to try on (All were 18 Mediums) and a long tunic top. Of the jeans, I could only get one pair buttoned. They were gray colored. Thought they may look good with the shirt I bought. Eh, I wasnt sure if they did look good together, but I had major front butt. You know, when your pooch bulges out and makes like a bubble in the front of your jeans? Yeah, so ugly! Oh and pretty sure I had major muffin top too. The next pair, I could got on but couldnt button. The last pair, same brand, same cut (I took a picture of all three together, but my cameras in my car, call me lazy!) and I couldnt even get them over my butt. SAD! The tunic top looked alright, but I just wasnt feeling it. It was also a little see-through. So, I took this as a sign, DONT BUY ANYTHING! Well, I still walked out of the store spending about $55 dollars. All things for the kids... party invites, stickers, my little ponies, hot wheels, eye shadow, hell I cant even remember what else. Crap that wasnt necessary AT ALL!

Next was Frys for groceries. I did pretty good sticking to my list. Cant lie, I did buy some things that werent on my list. I did, however, make it out of the store under $300! Woot to that. Hopefully I bought enough for meals for the next 2 weeks. Logan said that out pantry is sure getting stocked up. My reply was, "I hope someday I dont have to buy so much." I really need to learn to use what we have for dinner. Someday!!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope everyone had a nice Friday. I also hope you all have a great weekend. Be safe! We have a b-day party tomorrow evening to go too. Wish me luck as my anxiety about being around people is acting up. :)

Pinspertaion!

I have read a blog post recently about Moms who get anxiety over not being the best mom on Pinterest. Not being able to do everything they see on Pinterest. Not being the best of the best. I think this is RIDICULOUS!

I use Pinterest only as inspiration. I do not freak out when I read the pins 101 things to do with your toddler. Yeah, I do want to be a more involved mother and plan to this new year but I do not stress and freak out that I am not on of the best Pinterst mommies out there. I souly use Pinterest to get ideas.

Case in point. Many people pin birthday parties and a lot of Mommies & Daddies go WAY over board on a childs birthday party.(IMO!) I am looking for Toy Story ideas for Garrett's 3rd B-day party. Lots of great ideas out there.

 Beautiful Cakes:

And many many more. Sure, it would be awesome if we got one of these amazing cakes. If it was offered to me for free, I sure wouldnt turn it down but I am not going to pay over $50 for a cake. CRAZY!  Our cakes come from Walmart, Frys or Bashas. Typical grocery store style cake. I think Walmart cakes are actually good.

Pinterest is a great place to get decorating ideas for parties.
How cute and fun. But am I going into an anxiety fit because I cannot do this display?! Nope. I do like how they made the ABC blocks out of cardboard boxes. Looks super easy and would be fun for more then just a b-day party.

Pretty much what I've got from Pinterest for Garrett's Toy Story party is this: use Bright colors and misc toys.

We will probably buy one of the party kits:

Its going to be low key and small.

You know what does give me anxiety thinking of planning a party?? Being the hostess! Yes, the thought of having several people  at my house depending on me to be a great hostess just makes my chest tight. This year the party will be at our house, our new house. I know when its over, it will be fine but thinking of it only a few weeks pre-party really has my chest tight.

So the point of this post, I just dont get why people get so freaked out and anxiety over what the see on Pinterest. Its not just for parties, its for how their houses are decorated, organized, etc. Again, I use Pinterest fir decorating ideas, organizing ideas, etc.

How do you use Pinterest? Do you get anxiety looking at it?

P.S. This is just my opinion. I am in no way saying the people who do get anxiety are stupid or any other name calling.

New Year, New Me!

Every year around the first of January many people around the world make a resolution for the year to come. Most people do not stick to their resolution and I am one of those people. This year I've decided to make a list of things/areas I want to improve on over the year.

Here goes, in no particular order:

1. Stop Yelling
2. Time Out
    A. For The Kids
    B. For Mommy
3. Eat Better
4. Work Out More
5. Keep House Better
6. Be A More Active Mommy
7. Be A Better Wife
8. Take More Pictures
9. Budget- Stop buying unneeded items
10. Love My Self!

There are other things I have planned to improve our relationships (both between myself and the kids and between Logan & I) More posts on that to come!

Do you set resolutions? If so, what are they?

Christmas Pt 3

The morning of the 26th, Logan woke up to go meet a guy to trade Polaris Rangers. When he got home he said he was sick. He had caught whatever the kids had only he had it from both ends. Eeesh!

We went to my sisters house later that evening to spend Christmas with my side of the family. My parents were there, my brother & Janessa and of course my sister, he husband and 2 kids.

This year we decided to open presents first and then eat dinner.

Cousin Jace & Ellie

Blaine thought he was being sneaky when he found a candy cane that had fallen off a present
But then Mama caught him sticky handed. Trust me he was pissed off when I took it from him after he started chocking on a piece of the wrapper.

Is it horrible that unless I am looking at all the new toys, I cant remember everything they got this time? lol They got so much! Garrett got an awesome Hot Wheels track set, Ellie got a My Little Pony castle and Blaine got a cute Monkey that come with clothes you put on him. And SOOO MUCH MORE!

My Mom made each of the kids quilts for their beds with matching pillow cases and she even embroidered shirts to go along with the set. Ill make a post after the New Years with the blankets. They all turned out amazing!

The guys all got grilling stuff from my parents. My Mom made them each aprons with a cute saying on each of them.

What did I get? I finally got a Sharp Floor Steamer! So happy about that. I have wanted one for years and even more so this year since we have so much laminate flooring. (Thank you Mom & Dad!) I also got some pretty bracelets from Janessa and a pretty watch from my sister.

With the Holiday Season and the 2012 coming to a close, I am very thankful and blessed for my family. I loved watching my kids each time open their presents. Their eyes light up and the smiles on their faces were priceless.
