A little break

I cannot believe it's been 4 months since I have posted. Guess I just needed a little break. Well I'm back now :-)

As much as I'd love to have come back and said I'd had a big weight loss and how happy and proud of my self I am..... I can't. In fact I've had an almost 10 lb weight gain. Womp womp womp. Life can be a bitch but this it's no one's daily but my own.

Today is December 1st and I'm starting over. I'm making a workout log book that has daily print it's for me to fill in what work out I did, what week and day it is, and how I felt that day. I'm also going to work really hard to wake up earlier and get my work out done first thing.

So that's me as if right now. The rest of the family is doing great. Ellie is loving kindergarten and I've got letters from the reading teacher that say Ellie is reading very well. That's great! She just talks too much in class still. Garrett is still Garrett. He will be 4 in about a month and a half. Crazy. Blaine is my handful! He is two now and into everything. I mean seriously in to everything. Cannot take my eyes off him for long. Logan is doing well as also. He switched jobs about 6 months ago and is back to diesel machining, which he enjoys doing.

Maybe I'll get a thanksgiving post up. We have a very busy weekend coming up.

Hope everyone is doing well. Happy Holidays!

(The picture shows what 10 lb gain does does your pants)

First Day of Kindergarten

How is it possible that it is Ellie's first day of Kindergarten? The Summer seemed to have went by so fast.

(This was originally typed Aug.  5th... I slacked on getting it posted)

This morning we got up and got ready with no problems. Logan and I snapped a few pictures of her before we all loaded up and took Miss E to her school. Normally she will ride the bus to and from but today we wanted to take her and see her off. She had no problem walking into her new class and sat on the floor with a friend from Preschool and started playing. She was beyond excited when her other friend walked into the class as well.  When we decided it was time to leave, she gave us both hugs and kisses and went back to playing. I am so proud of her for being so open to change and new things.

I decided to ask Ellie a few "Back To School" questions. It will be fun to do this every year as well as it will be fun to put into her scrapbook.

I cannot believe she will be gone all day long! Seriously, she wont get to the bus stop until 4! Yes, FOUR! Thats so late. But that also gives me so much time to get other stuff done. Blaine usually sleeps from 1:30ish-4:30ish.. Ill also be able to spend more time with Garrett one on one.

---------
A little up date since I originally typed this up. Ellie is doing great in school. She loves riding the bus, loves her teacher and is doing great. She doesnt like actually talking to us about how her day went though. We have to drag it out of her usually. So far she can read or least memorizes a couple of their little books. Its things like "I am Cat. I am Dog." etc. Pretty good though.

Good luck to all who have started school this year. Whether its youre in Kindergarten, 5th grade or even 12th grade. Here's to a great year!!

DietBet

For those of you who are working on a healthier lifestyle, have you heard of DietBet? I heard of it a while back and looked into it but never joined.

What is Dietbet? Its a place where people (regular people or "famous" people) set up a bet. A bet to lose 4% of your body weight in a set time. (Example- Aug 26-Sept 24) The creator sets a bet limit that each person who joins the bet pays. At the end of the bet, whoever their 4% gets a share of the money pot.

I finally joined a DietBet. Our bet is only $10 a person. Right now our pot is up to $280. Say only 2 people lose their 4% then they get $140 each. If you are the only person who makes it to 4% loss, you get all $280!! At the very least, if everyone loses the 4%, Ill get my $10 back. We start tomorrow and I am excited!! I will hold my ass accountable this time..

Oh you might wonder how they keep people from cheating? They are watching you, Big Brother style! ;) J/K They give you a secret word that you have to write on a paper and place by your scale, you have to take a full length picture of you standing on the scale and a picture your feet on the scale with the secret word next to it. You do this at weigh-in and weigh-out. If they feel someone is cheating, they have alternatives to the weigh-in/outs. Like via video or skype. So no cheating!

If you have done a DietBet, how did you do? What did you think of it? Will you do it again? How much did you win? :)

All About My Tattoos

I was inspired by Becca's post over at I ATE SKINNY about her tattoos to post my own tattoo story.

  Her goes:

This is my very first tattoo. I got it for my 17th birthday. I found the butterfly I really liked and took the tribal from another tattoo, cut it off and taped it all together. Yes, its a very typical "tramp stamp". Let me explain. Where I was going to school at this time was in the middle of BFE. No one I knew had a tattoo in this area. In face, I had never heard the term "tramp stamp" at the time . Do I regret getting it there? Never, nope, not at all. However, I often forget its there because its not all up in my face.

My 2nd tattoo was for my 18th birthday. I had found this cute little guy from one of those 50 sent temporary tattoo machines at the gas station store. I loved it! I loved him so much I wanted him forever. I think the temp one was actually green and pink. Blue is my favorite color, so I had the artist change his colors. What is cuter than a lion cute with spots, dragon fly wings and antenna?

The idea for this tattoo was just this, I wanted the stars and butterflies to look like they were spiraling around my leg. Like a dust devil or tornado. When I first went in to see the tattoo artist and give him my idea I had wanted something pretty small.. However, he convinced me that bigger would be better in the long run and would look better years from then. So after two 4 hour long sessions, I had these very awesome stars and butterflies. I was never able to go back to get it completed. You know, like getting the stuff that goes between each star and butterfly to make it look like one tattoo instead of 10 separate ones.. That is actually going to be my next tattoo (Hopefully in October!!)

For our 3rd Anniversary Logan and I had went to Laughlin, NV for a few days. We had wanted to rent jet skis and play on the river for a while.. However, they were very expensive. Like $125+ a day, not including gas. While out diving around looking for a cheaper rental place we saw tattoo signs. Randomly Logan says "Lets get tattoos." We laughed about it. He didnt even have any yet. But as we kept driving around and thinking about it, we decided to do it.. After some searching on line (with some craptastic internet service) and stopping at a couple different shops and getting no attention.. We finally found Evolution Tattoo. The main artist in there is Larry Topping. He did Logan's tat and was AMAZING. I however, had a very lack luster not the greatest artist. I had decided I wanted 3 stars and my babies names on them. I picked colors I thought the would each like, purple for Ellie, blue for Garrett and green for Blaine. I loved it.. Unfortunately this tat didnt turn out very good in the following days.. Like 2 or 3 days later the GAR of Garrett had already weeped the color almost completely out and over time the purple, blue and green faded really bad. I was so sad and hated to show people because it looked so bad.
(On out next visit to Evolution Tattoo to see ONLY Larry, he hooked me up and fixed it)
And Im happy to say that this time around it healed amazingly and without hardly peeling!!

My newest tattoo is my favorite. It is an infinity symbol with a heart and says Until My Last Day. Logan has one almost the same (see picture). We got them for each other. This one is by far the one with the most meaning behind it. Again we went back to see Larry Topping, after he did such an amazing job on Logan's first tattoo. We told him our ideas and what we were looking for.. He drew them up and it was perfect!! That is a true artist! You give them your ideas, the draw something up that is what you wanted AND MORE! We will always go back to Larry for our tat needs.
(Here they are together)

I agree with anyone who says tattoos are addictive. Once you get inked, you will want more. Even watching tat shows on TV makes you (well me) jones for more.. LOL! Like I mentioned above, hopefully we will get to go back in October to get new ones. Or for me, to get the one finished, but it will be like a completely new tattoo!! Yeey!!

Do you have any tattoos? How many? Whats your favorite?

Fittness Friday Update

Guess who fell off the wagon again, but this time got ran over?? Yeah, that would be me.
What is my deal?

So in the last few weeks Ive gone from 212ish to......215! I may have been eating a little out of control but it didnt really seem like it though..

After a week and a half of trying to control my eating a bit better, I am back down to 212.

As far as exercise goes, the last couple of days I havent done anything. I am still working on the Slim in 6 and doing a workout on the elliptical.

I just need to refocus and get on top of things again and make my self do it! I have goals and I really want to make it to them this time!!

So yeah, that is where I am standing at this moment.. No more a head then I have been in the past.. Boo!

Fabulous Fitness Friday

Gosh, I havent done one of these posts since June. I guess I was slacking bad!! Well, nothing has changed.. I wasnt just slacking on my blogging, I was slacking in working out and eating well.. Womp!

Ive started again this month.. Today is Day 5 of the Slim in 6. Boy Im feeling it in my love handles/ saddle bags and my butt!!

Im starting August out with a new plan. I have no weight goal. My goals this month is to drink my Shake-o everyday, eat better and to do my workout everyday (sept a rest day). I will get to the end of the 6 weeks this time!

I also have a swim suit goal. I bought this tankini at the end of July. It fits but doesnt look the best on me. The beginning of October we are going to the Lake again and I want this suit to look better on me.
My 10 yr High School reunion is also in October. Id love to be able to wear something cute or different to that.

Also, my reward for finishing the Slim in 6 will be getting my her did. It needs a little cut and color! Kinda already have a picture picked out for what I want. We shall see :)

I dont plan to update weekly anymore. I get tired of saying the same things over and over. I wont be keeping track of my weight as much as before so I wont really have much to report. I am going to do it 2 times a month.

So here to August and to a new me!

P.S. if you want to follow my journey and my day to day accountability, Ill be posting on IG everyday. Follow me: robinwx3

4th of July

Fourth of July this year was fun. We got to spend it in Bagdad with Logan's parents, his sister and her two boys. The kids always like getting to play with their cousins.

We went to the parade in the morning. The kids had fun gathering candy. (TO MUCH CANDY!) Ellie is such a little diva.
After the parade we got to take the kids to see the mining equipment, a haul truck and a loader. Garrett and Cameron were more into playing in the dirt than the actual equipment. Blaine was having a blast playing under the truck, which was a no no. He was also having fun photo bombing every one else there. I couldnt keep him out of the way.
Later that evening they had a carnival set up with games, rides and food. Ellie got to play one game and then we spent the rest of the night waiting in the face painting line. Garrett never knows what to get on his face so I thought it would be funny to get some facial hair. Ellie wanted flowers on hers (cant see in the pic)
After the carnival we went to our spot to watch the fireworks. Bagdad did a great job this year with fireworks. Ellie got a little scared and spent most of the time sitting with Nana. Blaine was really into them at first, saying Boom and Pop after each one.. Then he lost interest.

Im so glad we got to spend the holiday with Daddy and family too. Always look forward to the next holiday!

A Month Late

My oldest child's birthday was July 2nd. Ive never been good at writing the sentimental recap posts. Plus its kinda redundant to post about her birth each year of her birthday.

She had learned a lot in her 4th yr of life. She learned to ride her bike pretty good but was still kinda scared of it. She went to two different preschools and learned so much. She knows how to sing the ABC song and can recognize a lot of the letters. She knows how to write her name and count to 10 and sometimes 15. She even went and spent a 4 days with her Nana and Papa (my parents) so far from home and did so well.

Should say 4 yrs of Ellie

For Ellie's birthday her Daddy bought her pink Roses

We had her party on the 5th at Peter Piper Pizza. The kids all had a great time and Ellie got some really great presents.
She got a cool fish tank for glofish, Cinderella Barbie and Cinderella makeup, clothes, Princess Cadance MLP, Princess Candy Land, Princess Dominoes, Hungry Hungry Hippos, and so much more.

Quite honestly, I cannot believe she is 5. It does go by so fast!

I love you Elisabeth!! You are my favorite little girl in the world!

July Scrapbook Pages

I have been kinda MIA. Not sure why. Lost my blogging mojo, maybe? School is starting soon and with my days starting at 6ish, maybe Ill find time to post more.

I really hadnt thought I'd get much done scrap-wise in July but I did pretty well.

I ended June with 114 pages total. Now at the end of July I completed 20 more pages. Which brings my total to 134! I  see my self reaching 200 easily by the end of the year. However, I am almost out of printed photos.. Now the big choice of what to print and scrap next. I am almost done with 2012. Do I do 2013 or do I continue to go backwards and do 2011? Should I print some of the boy's baby pics and do their pages along the was as well? Hmmmm! One thing I know.. Ill have to wait till someone has a great deal on prints.

If you scrapbook and post about it, leave me a comment with your blog link. Id like to see other crafters work!

June Scrapbook Pages

Last month on my scrapbook message board we had a challenge going down. It was a post/challenge points thing.. The more you posted, the more pages and cards you did, the more points you made. Well I think I made it to almost 300 points.. They havent got the final tallies up yet. Anyways, here are the pages and cards I made last month.

That is 18 pages and 11 cards! Holy smokies! Last months page total was 96. Those 18 pages blows blows my 100 page goal for the year out of the water. I am now at 114 pages and its only July! I still have January-May 2012 to scrap as well.. So I will work towards another 100 pages for 2013. Crazy!

Thanks for stopping by. If you are a scrapper, please leave a comment with a link to your blog. Id love to check it out :)
