Logan's Bathroom

(Let me start by describing our bathrooms layout. The first side has a toilet, sink, mirror and the bathroom closet. This side is mine, the kids & guests bathroom. In the middle is the bath tub/shower, then behind the next door is another toilet, sink, mirror, counter top. This side is off the master bedroom and is Logan's side of the bathroom. )

So Ive been working on plans for Logan's bathroom. I've figured most of it out and hopefully will get supplied on the 29th when I go into town for my 24 week OB appointment and Garrett's 18 mo appointment.

I created a picture of stuff that I've compiled together, kinda like that new website Pintrest

Alright, for those who do not know, Logan is a diesel mechanic in the copper mine here.   He works on huge trucks and equipment. He has voiced to me in the past that he would like his bathroom done in the Caterpillar equipment theme. However, I cannot find anything premade, so will have to get creative and do it all on my own. Here's what I've come up with.

In the middle of the picture are the colors  I've thinking of using. Painting the lower half of the bathroom the yellow (Marigold in Behr for those who are interested) Then taking off a band around the top of the yellow a few inches and paint that the black (Which is Black Suede).

At the top right is some square shelves that would be placed above the toilet.  Im not sure if I like these or if I would rather use just a piece of wood painted in black with silver brackets. However, if I was to use the square ones, I could put inside toy replicas of some of the equipment he works on. Like the big haul truck in the left corner and the little dozer in the middle right. I could also buy some cheep tools (if I can find some cheap tools) to place on the tops or inside of the shelves.

I can find a few Cat or Caterpillar sticker/decals on the web in different sizes, I may get one to put over the top of the bathroom door. HAHAHAHA I just got an idea, I could get a custom sticker made that says "Dumping Zone" and put it above  the shelves, above the toilet or maybe just above a door. That would be funny.

I may also try to find a calender to go in there
Wow, there is just so much I can do. Amazon has loads of books about the equipment, I could buy a couple to put in there. Men like to have things to look at while in the "Dumping Zone". Also there is a floor mat that would be cool in front of the sink.
There is just so much I could do down the line, but for now I am going to stick with the painting, shelves, toys & tools.

Is it weird that I am excited about doing Logan's bathroom first? I wish I could have it done today for his Father's day surprise but its not going to happen. I however am not going to mention any of it to him and that way he will be super surprised when he comes home from work to see it. (Next weekend maybe?) Of course, there will be before pictures, during pictures and finishing pictures.

\Oh another idea.. Maybe I could get him to get pictures of himself standing by some of the equipment and then have them printed out and put those up in the bathroom too.

Here is a picture of a haul truck with a regular vehicle next to it. You can see just how big the equipment he works on are.

Ok, I think you got the idea of what Im wanting to do in his bathroom. I really hope I get to do this. I hate how unpersonalized our house is. Its time to make this house a home..

Thinking After Baby

I find my self already thinking about what I want done after baby Blaine is born. My biggest want... is to lose the weight... So far Im doing really great at not gaining a lot of extra weight but with roughly 17 weeks left, that is plenty of room to gain way to much weight.. (I first typed money instead of weight. Must be because everything cost way to much money lol) However much weight I end up gaining this time around means nothing though. I have weight from the last 2 pregnancies to lose still. This time I am going to get serious. Being as Blaine is probably our last baby, there is no excuse not to bust my ass and get into shape. Logan has between 4-5 days off at a time. He can watch the kids during those days so I can go to the gym for 45 minutes or so. He can and he WILL watch them :D

My SIL just passed her 25 lb weight loss goal and I couldnt be more happy for her. She has done so well, even when there were probably people who thought she couldnt do it. (people can be so cruel) She is doing amazing both at the gym and at home with eating good. For sure an inspiration. Way to go, Janessa!

Oh other notes... Im pretty sure the Moms group is going to be a flop. So far no one has joined the meet up group site. Only one of the tare off things on the flyer at the post office has been taken off. Of the moms I know and went to school with, I do not see any of them committing to a group. Its not like Im demanding that they go to every meet up or anything, Id just like them to sign up and give some input for when dates/times would work for them to hang out and maybe give out other ideas of things to do. I dont see this happening though, its going to fall through and Im going to be out $24... I could send out emails to join to the ladies I know of, but dont want to be pushy or anything. Oh well, I tried I guess. At the end of the month if there are no members, the group page will be closed because I wont pay for it if its not working.

We did go to the park this morning. I let the kids play for an hour. Guess maybe in a hope that someone from FB would show up... No one did. One younger mom who went to pick her kids up form the day care, waved as she walked back by. Her kids were around mine's ages. In fact, I think Ive seen her at the Post office before. I of course waved back. Wish I had better people skills.

After the park we went to the Post office to check mail and see how many of the things were taken off the flyer. There was another young mom there with her little girl. Just wish I could just start talking to people with no problems... Like my mom.. My mom could talk to any one, whether she knows them or not. She finds something to talk about.. Not me.. Im verbally challenged and have no clue what to talk about.  Oh well, maybe someday.

Came home, kids had popcicles and I had ice cream and they went down for naps. I should have napped too but instead I caught up on my soaps.. On my last episode now and then I need to clean the kitchen and fold some laundry. And of course, look to see what to do for dinner tonight.. My least favorite thing..

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
