February Update & Pic dump

Man, I am having such a hard time blogging. Or really, doing much of anything else these days. I've even come up with my own slogan, "Im not lazy, Im just unmotivated." And its so true its sad. I always say I am going to do something, I am going to start a new trend, new goals, new projects and the next day I am totally BLUH, wiped out before the sun is even up and just flat out UNMOTIVATED! Do they sell motivation in pill for? lol That would be something worth investing in (and slipping into everyones food and drinks)

I have been sucked into the world of Pinterest! Before, when I first signed up (almost 6 months or so ago) I thought it was a weird site and not something I was interested in. Then after my mom had asked me what it was and we spend a few nights looking stuff up on it, I was hooked. So now I spend WAY TO MUCH time Pinning. In fact, Im working on a banner that says "Duh, Pinning" (Nessa & I thought it would be funny) Anyways, Ive been pinning outfits that I love and food that looks delish but is horrible on the body! What's the deal? All I want to do is lose weight, get new clothes. However, all I seem to be doing is eating. Again, its the unmotivated part of me that is holding me back. Seriously. What is my DEAL? I have a goal, I have a want, and I want it yesterday, I know it takes time and effort to get to the said goal but I cannot get off my couch. Im really hoping this warmer weather will bring me more activities outside, possible walks with the kids and maybe even get me in the mood to go to the gym when Logan gets home from work.

Ok, I think I have beat the weight loss horse to death! Lets move on to other things.

Garrett turned 2 on January 25th. Cannot believe he is already so big. He is my handful for sure.
He loves anything with tires on it. Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, as well as piles of tires. He will point at them and yell "Tires!" He is saying so many things now. Its crazy how it just happens over night. Its still mainly one word things (Besides "Whats That" he's been saying that since forever!) He is going to be my rough and tough, always scratched up little guy. Hopefully there are NO broken bones in our future though (but not holding my breath).

We purchased a couple of calves to raise up and then have butchered, rather then spend so much money at the store on beef. Well Ellie (with Daddy's help) named them T-Bone and Porterhouse. Its so cute to listen to her say their names. The kids love to go out and help feed them.

We are totally loving this warmer weather. We went on a Ranger ride yesterday. You will hear a lot about Ranger rides as the Spring & Summer continue. They are so much fun and a great way to get outdoors. The kids really enjoy them too. They usually fall asleep at some point to or from the desination.

Alright, I think I have rambled enough for one post. Im going to try hard to post more! Everyone have a great week!

Recap- Nov & Dec

Sorry for my MIA business. I got a new tablet (as mentioned before) and its hard to blog from it and I hardly get on my laptop. However, I really want to get back into the swing of blogging. So here's my first post for the new year and its a recap of the last 2 months.

November-

We had 2 Thanksgivings. The first was spent with my in-laws on Thanksgiving day. Logan bought a turkey fryer and we teased him all afternoon about burning the garage or house down. Of course, neither happened. It was a lot of fun and the food was great. However, because Ellie was being a brat that night, I didnt eat much. The kids all had fun playing with their cousins. We had to go home that night because Logan worked the next day.

After he got off work on the 27th, we left and headed to my parents house for the weekend. They live about 6-8 hours away (as mentioned before) The kids did great. They basically took turns sleeping and fussing. Blaine was by far the best rider. We arrived around 5 pm to a full house. My sister and her 2 kids, my brother and his wife and their dog and my parents and their 2 dogs. So that equaled 7 adults, 5 kids under 7 and 4 small hairy dogs. It was crowded. Oh yeah, my grand mother showed up too. So there was actually 8 adults. We had our Thanksgiving on Saturday and of course the food was delish and I got to actually eat more. lol We had to leave on Sunday so Logan could get back to work on Monday. It was a VERY fast trip and I was sad to go.

December-

Logan started talking about knocking out the small wall that divides the kitchen from the living room and building a bar. He has been talking about it for a while but now he was getting serious about it. lol First he put up shelves in our big pantry closet in the kitchen so I could actually put our packaged and canned food in there instead of in our hall way closet. So once I got the food moved, I put my scrapbooking stuff in the hall closet. About 2 weeks before Christmas, Logan & his friend started knocking the wall down. The projected was supposed to only take the one weekend to finish. However, they kept changing the plans and adding to it. My house was in disarray for 2 weeks and only just got completely finished maybe 4 days ago. Now we have a beautiful bar and the house looks completely different! We just have to buy chairs now.
I cant find a good before picture, but looking at the picture below, from the right wall over to where the metal ladder is was a wall. Then there was a door way from the ladder to where the guy in brown is standing.
Wall knocked out, working on removing the ac/heater vent
 Almost done.

All finished
Top tile and wood trim
looking from the kitchen into the living room. Like our color selections?
Now that remodeling is finished, it feels more like home, rather then a rental. Yes, we did this to our rental.. It's an upgrade and we didnt really ask for permission.. lol Breaking the law! breaking the law! It's practice for when we some day will have our dream home.

Speaking of dream home, Id love to have the HGTV 2012 Dream House, just saying.

Anyways, moving on. Every year since Ellie was born we have been getting ornaments for each kid. I had just been getting them from Walmart in the passed. However Christmas 2010 and this last year, 2011, Walmart didnt have anything. Their ornament selection sure has gone DOWN HILL! I was sad this year when I couldnt even find a "Baby's first Christmas" ornament for Blaine. So after a lot of searching and deciding I didnt want to buy them on line, I decided to make this years ornaments. They turned out great! I love them!

I was able to put the Christmas tree up about 4 days before Christmas. The kids helped of course. They were excited but Garrett wouldnt leave the ornaments alone.

I do not have any pictures from Christmas, they are all on Logan's work camera. So those will have to wait for another post. However, I can say we had a great time with both of our families. We did our own little Christmas on the morning of the 25th. The kids were so excited to see their toys and get to open them too. Later that day we went to my sisters house to spend Christmas with my family. My parents, brother & his wife and of course my sister and her family were there. The kids got some really neat presents.
We spent the 26th with Logan's family at his parents house. His parents and his sister & her family were there.
We all got great gifts. The kids are so spoiled!

I am so glad we got to spend both Thanksgiving and Christmas with both of our families!

Janessa came over on the 31st, New Years Eve, and stayed to celebrate with me and the kids. Logan was at his parents house most of the day. Janessa and I played Wii games, had a couple drinks and snacked all night till 12 am. Then it was bed time. (Garrett went to bed about 8:30 so there are no pics of him)

Meaningful and Moanful Monday

I really do not like the title for my Mondays. Maybe I should just call it Monday's Moment to Remember..? I kinda like that.. So that's what Ill call it from now on.

Wow! I have done something I havent done before.. My blog has over 100 posts!! How exciting! Wish I had more followers though.. Some day, maybe!!

I also need to think of a new title for my blog.. I mean, I am no longer waiting 9 months to have my baby. Maybe something a long the lines of "After the 9 month wait" Hmm, Ill keep thinking on that.

Anyways, things to remember from the past week.

The kids are still doing really good with Blaine. No horrible jealous out breaks yet. However, I do think that Ellie is doing things to get my attention.. Even if Im not holding Blaine.

I am pretty tired of Garrett hitting Ellie and of Ellie being so dramatic about little things.. I hope by January, Garrett will be out of the hitting stage.. (Please, o Please!!)

Either the 10th or 11th Garrett had a run in with the wrong end of a shovel. My nephew was swinging it around in circles outside and Garrett went out there.. It only took a second. He had a cut on his forehead, opposite side from the side he already had stitches in. Dr. B cleaned him up and said he only needed liquid stitches this time. Thank Goodness!

Blaine is a great sleeper and pretty good nurser. Though we are having a few hard times with getting a good latch at night. He is starting to stay away more during the say and keeping his eyes open more. They are blue for now.. Wonder what color they will end up being??

Logan flew out this morning to Knoxville for work training. How weird! I couldnt imagine if he always had to fly to different places for work. Its also scary that he is over there and that he has to be on airplanes too. Any thing could happen while he is gone.. I know, who actually thinks of the bad things? I guess I do at some point or another.. But nothing bad will happen. He will be home on Wednesday!

I love how fast Garret has learned "baby". I can point at Blaine and ask G "What this?" and he says "Ba-ba" which is Baby. It literally only took him a week. He also started saying car. At first it was if he held a car up, he would say "Car" and say "Truck" when he had a truck.. Now though, everything is a car.

I am down right thankful for my children, husband and family! Life would be horrible without any of them in it!

Hope everyone has a good week!

15 Day Challenege- Day 9

**Some one Who Fascinates You**

I was having a hard time picking someone for this.. I always have a hard time picking anyone and anything to write about. Why is it so hard to make decisions?

I figured it out though, my daughter, Ellie is a very fascinating little person.

When she was born, it fascinated me at how much such a small little being could warm my heart, fill me with joy and make every bad thing in life just disappear for a moment.  I loved the times I got to just hold her and stare at her, even if she was sleeping. Babies are very fascinating creatures. I love watching her grow up and learn new things. Everyday it is something new. From learning to sit by her self, to crawling, standing and walking. Now that she is 3 years old, the things she is learning are becoming much more complex. Some days Im like "Where did she learn that from?" Other days, I know right where she learned it from (Usually something I say all the time)

The things she remembers and repeats is crazy. It can be from months ago and she will tell you what happened.. She is starting to make her own stories up, wanting to do her own thing and did I mention her attitude is growing in leaps and bounds? She is defiantly a spit fire and a force to be reckon with. As silly as it sounds, it fascinates me how she knows how to push my buttons, cross the line and make me want to strangle her. Then she turns around and all she has to do is ask "Are you mad mama?" and utter "I love you" and its all better..

It literally scares me to death to think of her growing up more, becoming a young girl, a tween, preteen and a teenager. But one thing I know for sure, she will always fascinate me.

Love you baby girl!

6 Photos of The Day

I almost forgot to do this post. I only remembered after laying in bed, reading some blogs, trying to fall asleep.. but guess who isnt sleeping yet?? Me!! (And Ellie too) So I decided to get out of bed, eat some candy and get these pictures posted.

Tonight the town how their Halloween Carnival. (On the 1st? Yeah, I know HOLY FREAKING EARLY) Ellie took a late nap and it turned out to be a short one cause I had to get her dressed and make up on.. She woke up with the worst attitude ever and cried the entire time I was dressing her and putting on her make up. I admit I had a few bad mommy moments while getting both kids ready... :( But we ended up having a fun time. (It was entirely to freaking hot in the gym, I was dieing!!)

Mr. Garrett was a Farmer boy. He's showing me his nose.
Maybe he is a Rock Farmer and he is showing me his "crop"
Ellie is a Butterfly Princess
She is flying!

Approching 36 weeks

Wow!! I cannot believe this Friday will be 36 weeks. So crazy!! When I was pregnant with Ellie, at 36 weeks she stopped moving. My mom and I went into the hospital around 8:30 on July 1st (08 for the record), they hooked me up to the monitors and she was doing great, however her heart rate wasnt raising the way that it should have when she was moving. So they decided to keep me over night. I have to say that was a VERY long night with little sleep. I got like 30 minutes of sleep the whole night. The bed was uncomfortable and if I moved the monitor would stop picking her heart beat up. Around 4:30 I started getting cramps and tightening in my belly. Nothing major though. I did start to time them (to the best that I knew how). I guess I finally got some sleep at some point. The nurse came in to check on me around 7:30 am. I told her I thought I was having mild contractions and she agreed that the monitor was picking them up but nothing serious. They had to wait for my OB to tell them what to do next. An hour later they checked me for dilation and my surprise I was 3 cm! They said that it is normal to dilate like that and that I could be 3 cm for the remainder of my pregnancy. The released me to go home. My mom and I went and got breakfast from Burger King and then headed back to the house. I tried to rest and update my message board with my night in L&D, but I just couldnt concentrate on anything. I think I got a little nap in but nothing to speak of really. The cramping was getting stronger so I decided to try a warm shower. Wasnt helping and I even tried to sit down and take a shower/bath.. lol Still wasnt helping. A little while after getting out of the shower I told my mom I thought we should go back to L&D that it felt like the cramping was getting stronger. That was around 11:30 am. They checked me again and I was at 4 cm. When I reached 5 cm (not to long after that) they gave me the epi!! (HEAVEN!)  Basically to speed things for the readers, I had Ellie at 5:40 pm on July 2nd at 36 weeks! It was an easy L&D for sure..

So it is really crazy to think I could go into labor at any moment, even though I went to 40 weeks (and a day or so) with Garrett and was induced. I think it gets so hard at this point, unless you are scheduled for a C-section, you have NO idea when it will happen. (Even with a c-section guess you could always go before that date)

Anyways!! Ive been trying to get laundry all caught up so I can pack my bag and the kids "possible over night" bags. Course I started washing baby Blaine's clothes too.. So now I have 3 loads of mine, Ellie & Garrett's clothes and blankets and now a load of baby clothes (4 loads total) staring at me from the other couch.. I hate folding and putting clothes away!!!! But it must be done and REALLY needs to be done tonight. Oh yes, and I also need to make a JUST IN CASE roadside bag to go in my car. (Im sure Ive touched this topic once or twice already) Being as we live close to 2 hours from the hospital and do not know when labor could happen, I want to have a couple blankets, towels, etc, to keep in my car.. JIC... Hopefully it wont come down to a roadside baby though.. Eeek!!

As far as how I am actually feeling.......... Not to bad but not the greatest either.. I get heartburn anytime I bend over and that includes bending over the side of Garrett's crib to change his diaper, or sitting on the floor to change him, clean something, etc.. Mr. Blaine sure lets me know he is still in there. All I can think is that he is totally stretched out or SUPER long. I get rib pressure and cervix pains at the same time, like he is just completely stretching out. No clue is he is head down or up.. Mostly think he is transverse still and mostly on my right side.. He has always been a right side baby... I guess I am just anxious! Who wouldnt be, right??

On to other things.. Labor Day weekend, perhaps? We went to Logan's parents house for a few days. (Sunday-Wednesday) We didnt do anything overly exciting.. The kids had fun and Logan and his dad worked on their redneck well digging project. (Dont ask!!! Just dont C: ) Here's some pics:
