February Update & Pic dump

Man, I am having such a hard time blogging. Or really, doing much of anything else these days. I've even come up with my own slogan, "Im not lazy, Im just unmotivated." And its so true its sad. I always say I am going to do something, I am going to start a new trend, new goals, new projects and the next day I am totally BLUH, wiped out before the sun is even up and just flat out UNMOTIVATED! Do they sell motivation in pill for? lol That would be something worth investing in (and slipping into everyones food and drinks)

I have been sucked into the world of Pinterest! Before, when I first signed up (almost 6 months or so ago) I thought it was a weird site and not something I was interested in. Then after my mom had asked me what it was and we spend a few nights looking stuff up on it, I was hooked. So now I spend WAY TO MUCH time Pinning. In fact, Im working on a banner that says "Duh, Pinning" (Nessa & I thought it would be funny) Anyways, Ive been pinning outfits that I love and food that looks delish but is horrible on the body! What's the deal? All I want to do is lose weight, get new clothes. However, all I seem to be doing is eating. Again, its the unmotivated part of me that is holding me back. Seriously. What is my DEAL? I have a goal, I have a want, and I want it yesterday, I know it takes time and effort to get to the said goal but I cannot get off my couch. Im really hoping this warmer weather will bring me more activities outside, possible walks with the kids and maybe even get me in the mood to go to the gym when Logan gets home from work.

Ok, I think I have beat the weight loss horse to death! Lets move on to other things.

Garrett turned 2 on January 25th. Cannot believe he is already so big. He is my handful for sure.
He loves anything with tires on it. Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, as well as piles of tires. He will point at them and yell "Tires!" He is saying so many things now. Its crazy how it just happens over night. Its still mainly one word things (Besides "Whats That" he's been saying that since forever!) He is going to be my rough and tough, always scratched up little guy. Hopefully there are NO broken bones in our future though (but not holding my breath).

We purchased a couple of calves to raise up and then have butchered, rather then spend so much money at the store on beef. Well Ellie (with Daddy's help) named them T-Bone and Porterhouse. Its so cute to listen to her say their names. The kids love to go out and help feed them.

We are totally loving this warmer weather. We went on a Ranger ride yesterday. You will hear a lot about Ranger rides as the Spring & Summer continue. They are so much fun and a great way to get outdoors. The kids really enjoy them too. They usually fall asleep at some point to or from the desination.

Alright, I think I have rambled enough for one post. Im going to try hard to post more! Everyone have a great week!

Recap- Nov & Dec

Sorry for my MIA business. I got a new tablet (as mentioned before) and its hard to blog from it and I hardly get on my laptop. However, I really want to get back into the swing of blogging. So here's my first post for the new year and its a recap of the last 2 months.

November-

We had 2 Thanksgivings. The first was spent with my in-laws on Thanksgiving day. Logan bought a turkey fryer and we teased him all afternoon about burning the garage or house down. Of course, neither happened. It was a lot of fun and the food was great. However, because Ellie was being a brat that night, I didnt eat much. The kids all had fun playing with their cousins. We had to go home that night because Logan worked the next day.

After he got off work on the 27th, we left and headed to my parents house for the weekend. They live about 6-8 hours away (as mentioned before) The kids did great. They basically took turns sleeping and fussing. Blaine was by far the best rider. We arrived around 5 pm to a full house. My sister and her 2 kids, my brother and his wife and their dog and my parents and their 2 dogs. So that equaled 7 adults, 5 kids under 7 and 4 small hairy dogs. It was crowded. Oh yeah, my grand mother showed up too. So there was actually 8 adults. We had our Thanksgiving on Saturday and of course the food was delish and I got to actually eat more. lol We had to leave on Sunday so Logan could get back to work on Monday. It was a VERY fast trip and I was sad to go.

December-

Logan started talking about knocking out the small wall that divides the kitchen from the living room and building a bar. He has been talking about it for a while but now he was getting serious about it. lol First he put up shelves in our big pantry closet in the kitchen so I could actually put our packaged and canned food in there instead of in our hall way closet. So once I got the food moved, I put my scrapbooking stuff in the hall closet. About 2 weeks before Christmas, Logan & his friend started knocking the wall down. The projected was supposed to only take the one weekend to finish. However, they kept changing the plans and adding to it. My house was in disarray for 2 weeks and only just got completely finished maybe 4 days ago. Now we have a beautiful bar and the house looks completely different! We just have to buy chairs now.
I cant find a good before picture, but looking at the picture below, from the right wall over to where the metal ladder is was a wall. Then there was a door way from the ladder to where the guy in brown is standing.
Wall knocked out, working on removing the ac/heater vent
 Almost done.

All finished

Now that remodeling is finished, it feels more like home, rather then a rental. Yes, we did this to our rental.. It's an upgrade and we didnt really ask for permission.. lol Breaking the law! breaking the law! It's practice for when we some day will have our dream home.

Speaking of dream home, Id love to have the HGTV 2012 Dream House, just saying.

Anyways, moving on. Every year since Ellie was born we have been getting ornaments for each kid. I had just been getting them from Walmart in the passed. However Christmas 2010 and this last year, 2011, Walmart didnt have anything. Their ornament selection sure has gone DOWN HILL! I was sad this year when I couldnt even find a "Baby's first Christmas" ornament for Blaine. So after a lot of searching and deciding I didnt want to buy them on line, I decided to make this years ornaments. They turned out great! I love them!

I was able to put the Christmas tree up about 4 days before Christmas. The kids helped of course. They were excited but Garrett wouldnt leave the ornaments alone.

I do not have any pictures from Christmas, they are all on Logan's work camera. So those will have to wait for another post. However, I can say we had a great time with both of our families. We did our own little Christmas on the morning of the 25th. The kids were so excited to see their toys and get to open them too. Later that day we went to my sisters house to spend Christmas with my family. My parents, brother & his wife and of course my sister and her family were there. The kids got some really neat presents.
We spent the 26th with Logan's family at his parents house. His parents and his sister & her family were there.
We all got great gifts. The kids are so spoiled!

I am so glad we got to spend both Thanksgiving and Christmas with both of our families!

Janessa came over on the 31st, New Years Eve, and stayed to celebrate with me and the kids. Logan was at his parents house most of the day. Janessa and I played Wii games, had a couple drinks and snacked all night till 12 am. Then it was bed time. (Garrett went to bed about 8:30 so there are no pics of him)

1 Month Old

Today Blaine is already 1 month old! Hard to believe. Its always so weird when I get something new (car, house, job, baby, pet, etc) It seems like I've had it forever.. Even know its only been a short 4 weeks since Blaine was born, it seems like he has been here so much longer. However, he seems to be staying a baby a lot longer then Garrett did. Garrett was only a few onces bigger then Blaine at birth, but he seemed to lose the baby look so much faster. I think I am just holding on to B being a baby longer this time.. Enjoying every minute I have with him as a baby.

Friday we go in for his 1 month check up. Im guessing he is close to 10 lbs by now! Wow, looking at that last picture above, I can really say he does not look like Ellie or Garrett. I do not know who he looks like. I dont see Logan in him and really dont see me either. Strange. I can point out though that he does have a little pointy chin like I do. Its a family trait. (Ellie has it, my niece has it, my sister has it, our mom has it, her mother has it, my aunt has it and even though my cousin has a "butt chin", she also has the small pointy chin..) My mom also says he has my nose. I dont notice it so much now, but as a baby, I did have a small button nose. (Ellie also has one) I cannot wait to see what color his eyes will be. I hope they turn brown or a golden brown shade. He does also have my complexion (slightly tanish and again, Ellie also has this)

I thought it would be fun to post comparison photos of each kid when they were only a few days old. Just to see if there was any resemblance shortly after birth.
Miss E 5 days old
Garrett 1 or 2 days old
Blaine 1 day old

So the resemblances still may be hard to see even in these pictures, but as I was going through the pictures trying to pick out which ones to post, I could see in some of them that they all do look a like in one way or another. I also cannot get over how much Garrett still looks the same as he did as when he was 2 months old. Its crazy!!

Well anyways, HAPPY 1 MONTH, Baby Blaine!!

6 Photos of The Day

I almost forgot to do this post. I only remembered after laying in bed, reading some blogs, trying to fall asleep.. but guess who isnt sleeping yet?? Me!! (And Ellie too) So I decided to get out of bed, eat some candy and get these pictures posted.

Tonight the town how their Halloween Carnival. (On the 1st? Yeah, I know HOLY FREAKING EARLY) Ellie took a late nap and it turned out to be a short one cause I had to get her dressed and make up on.. She woke up with the worst attitude ever and cried the entire time I was dressing her and putting on her make up. I admit I had a few bad mommy moments while getting both kids ready... :( But we ended up having a fun time. (It was entirely to freaking hot in the gym, I was dieing!!)

Mr. Garrett was a Farmer boy. He's showing me his nose.
Maybe he is a Rock Farmer and he is showing me his "crop"

Fashion Fridays?!

Alright, so I had said I was going to make Fridays my Fashion Fridays... Well , I lied! I am not fashionable and hate taking my own pictures.. Soooo. Ive decided to make it Free Write Friday. It will be a lot easier for me to write about whatever, rather then something like Fashion.

Here goes-

My Friday was pretty good. I woke up to early and fell back to sleep maybe 45 minutes before my alarm went off.. Then of course didnt want to get out of bed. Some how I still managed to get myself and the 2 monsters dressed, hair fixed, diaper bag packed, etc all done by 9:30 when our ride showed up. Our ride? Today was Payday, also known as grocery shopping day.

Did you know that some people in the world go to the store every day to pick up when they need for that nights dinner? Did you also know that some people buy a fews worth of grocery at a time? How do I do it?? Living in BFE with one small, expensive grocery store really makes things hard. We, humans, can adapt. We drive 1 and a quarter hours away to go grocery shopping. We buy food for a 2 week stretch!! Do you know how hard it is to organize a shopping list for 2 weeks? Well its horrible when you are someone like me who is not an organized person at all!!

Today was Janessa's turn to drive (we alternate every 2 weeks who drives). We loaded my kids carseats into her truck and were on our way.. Some how we have managed to have 2 peaceful trips to and from town lately.. The kids have both been pretty good and slept in and out.

Grocery shopping was smooth today. After eating salads  at Red Robin, we headed to Walmart. The kids were pretty good for me. They fought with each other some but in general they were good.
Hugs
and Kisses!

After Walmart is usually Cost Co. That was a pretty fast trip. Since we didnt have any extra stops to make today (ie; JoAnns, Michael's, Mexican store for Carine Asada) we were done shopping pretty early and were home by 5-ish.. We usually dont leave town till 5-ish, so this was great!

Oh and my mother in law bought us a box of diapers for Blaine.. A box of 300 diapers! Holy smokies that is a big box of diapers! Hope it last a while. (Yeah, not with a newborn...)

So over all, this Friday was a good one.. Hope yours was too!

Finally an update!!

Sorry for being so MIA lately. I wanted to post picture from our visit with my parents, but I didnt get the pictures from my mom's camera before I left. So no pictures this time. Least not from the whole trip.

So we, the kids and I, left on Aug 10th to go to my parents house. We had to take a detour to town first to see the kids Pediatrician. Garrett had his 18 month check up and shots. He was good and looked good. Ellie had her 3 yr check up and looked good. However the doctor told me she is over weight. I call bullshit.. I didnt get their heights or weights because I was wrestling with Garrett and they didnt write them down for me. She said Garrett is in the 90% for height and I cant remember for weight, but that he was portioned good. Ellie she said that for her age and height her BMI is 90. Since when did they start checking BMI for toddlers?? She also said that by the time she is 4 we should be able to see her hips and ribs.. Hello, so you want my daughter to look anorexic? That is a great message to seen to young girls who already have WAY to much pressure on them to be skinny.. Sorry, my daughter can keep her puppy dog belly. Ill know when she is overweight, if it comes to that.. Plus, Ellie is VERY active and gets lots of exercise.

Lets move on. So we left Prescott headed for the NM/AZ boarder. The kids did pretty good. Dont get me wrong, I would never say they did perfect. If one wasnt whining or crying, the other was. When one was sleeping, the other was bitching.. Several LONG hours later, we pulled into Safford. We stopped at Walmart to pick up a b-day card for my dad and a bag of M&Ms (the best gift to my dad). It was so nice to get to my parents house and out of the car!! I must add, the Tahoe is much more comfortable then the Explorer ever was!

Ok, fast forward. You do not need a play by play of my trip. While we were there we didnt do a whole lot. Which was how I wanted it. I didnt want to have to run all over the place, I wanted to relax and let the kids see their Nana and Papa. One day,  Mom, the kids and I did go to New Mexico to see my Grand Mother. That was a long day, but Im glad we got to see her and she got to see her great grand children. We also went shopping a couple of times while I was there. We enjoyed a few times in the pool. The kids did great in the pool too. Ellie has been using water wings for like a year now and she was moving all over the pool like crazy! Garrett usually has a life jacket or the body suit with the built in floaty in it on, but I decided to try water wings out on him. He liked those much better and I liked them better too, since there wasnt a strap or fabric being pulled upward into his little boyhood. Ellie and I even got to go swimming one day just the two of us. That was nice.

A few pictures! My mom took these ones of Ellie before we went swimming. What a ham!

 My two favorite kids!
I love when I can get her to kiss him. I need to make a college of all the pics I have like this.

 Love these eyes

One of the other things we did while we were visiting my parents was go feed the ducks. There are ponds at a park that have ducks and the public is welcome to go feed them. So every time we are down there, we go buy "Duck bread" (cheap cheap cheap bread) and feed the ducks (my sister and her kids do it too). The last time we went , Garrett was a little baby still. Heck, guess last time we went was when we still lived in Illinois and came down in July for a visit.  The duck feeding pictures are the ones I dont have. My mom used her camera to take those pictures.Ill post them when I get them.

Time came that we had to go home. Make that long long crappy drive back up state. Once again, the kids werent horrible but not perfect angels.. Thats ok. We stopped in Anthem to meet our friends, Leah and her daughter Amber. We love going to the Anthem mall because it is an outlet mall, has The Childrens Place, Carters, Gymbaree, OshKosh and more! Not to mention a play area for the kids and in the summer time it has was fountains they can paly in. So nice!! So after we went shopping we let the kids play in the water.

Having since been home, nothing to exciting has happened. We are dealing with a previous renter who is trying to give us problems. Hopefully she will realize how ridiculous she is and retract her claims. We have decided to go ahead and try to rent the house out once more. It was either rent out or short sell it and screw Logan's credit up for a few years. So we met with a new possible renter, changed the lease and agreed to let him and his wife more in. Please please please let this guy be the good Christian man he claims to be and dont let him screw us over like the others in the past..

Today I am 34 weeks pregnant. So ready to be over. Well that isnt 100% true. I am so scared of having 2 toddlers and a newborn. I picked up a few more things that I need to be prepared. Bought the first pack of newborn diapers and will buy more every pay day (probably buy more size 1 instead). It was crazy buying 3 different kinds of diapers. Good Nights for Ellie, Size 6 for Garrett and NB for the baby... Hopefully Ill be able to get Ellie potty trained for night times, someday! lol I hate buying diapers for Garrett.. He is in size 6 and I prefer Luvs brand, however, Walmart NEVER has size 6 Luvs! Makes me so mad. Last time we went with Huggies and I hate them. He leaks... So this time we went with Pampers (snug and dry)... Hopefully they surprise me and I end up liking them.. Not that I like how much they cost.. Guess I could buy the Luvs on line if the Pampers dont work out.

Tomorrow, Im going to take Ellie's recalled crib and get money! Yeey and go to Big Lots and get Garrett's toddler bed!! Yeey! Its actually on sell right now. So that is awesome. Hopefully the box will fit in the Tahoe, I figured they can slide it up between the middle seats.. Like a divider between Ellie and Garrett. :)  Oh but I dont know if the matress would fit too.. Hmmm.. May have to get one tomorrow and then get the other on Tuesday. Tuesday is my 34 week appointment. I actually see the OB. We will see what she says about induction and I have a couple other questions..

Well, I do think this post is long enough and Im pretty caught up with what is going on (more or less). Im going to try to keep up on my posts again. Hope everyone has a great and safe holiday weekend!
